Registration and login options on is-it.io
The is-it.io platform provides multiple ways for you to create an account and log in securely. You can either register directly with your email address and a chosen username, or you can sign in using your existing Google or GitHub account.
These options are designed to make access as simple and secure as possible while giving you flexibility in how you manage your account.
Register with email
If you prefer not to use a third-party account, you can register directly on is-it.io using your email address. During this process, you will be asked to provide:
- Your first name and family name
- A valid email address
- A chosen username
You will also need to review and accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
After submitting your details, we will send you a verification email. To complete your registration, simply click the verification link. Once confirmed, your account will be activated and you can log in with your email and password at any time.
Register with your Google account
For faster access, you can sign up or log in directly using your Google account. This option uses the secure OAuth 2.0 protocol, which means we never see or store your Google password.
When you log in with Google for the first time:
- We will retrieve your name, email address, and, if available, your profile picture from your Google profile.
- If an account with the same email address already exists on is-it.io, your Google login will be automatically linked to that account.
- If no account exists, a new account will be created for you seamlessly.
This option makes registration quick and simple, while still keeping your data secure.
Register with Your GitHub Account
If you are a GitHub user, you can also choose to register or log in with your GitHub account. Like with Google login, this process uses secure OAuth 2.0 authentication.
When you log in with GitHub for the first time:
- We will receive your username, email address, and, if provided, your profile name and avatar.
- If there is already an existing account on is-it.io with the same email address, it will be automatically linked to your GitHub login.
- If not, we will create a new account for you automatically.
This method allows developers and open-source contributors to quickly get started without creating another set of credentials.
Summary
No matter which option you choose — email, Google, or GitHub — your account will always be secure.
- Email registration gives you full control with a traditional login.
- Google or GitHub login offers a faster, password-free way to sign in, with automatic account linking if your email matches.
You are free to use whichever method works best for you, and you can manage your login options from your account settings once registered.
