Information We Receive

When you choose to log in with Google or GitHub, we receive limited information directly from the provider:

Google Login

  • Name (first and last name, if available)
  • Email address
  • Profile picture (if available)

GitHub Login

  • Username
  • Email address (primary email if public or authorized)
  • Name (if provided in your GitHub profile)
  • Profile picture (avatar)

We do not receive your password or any other sensitive data from Google or GitHub.

How Long We Keep the Data

Your data is retained as long as you maintain an account with us. If you delete your account, we remove your linked Google/GitHub login data as well.

  • Disconnecting Login Providers: You may unlink Google or GitHub from your account in your profile settings (if supported), or by contacting us.
  • Deleting Your Account: You may delete your account at any time, which will remove all associated login information.
  • Revoking Access at Provider: You can also revoke our app’s access from your Google or GitHub security settings.

Security

Authentication through Google and GitHub uses OAuth 2.0, a secure industry-standard protocol. We only store the minimum tokens needed to keep you logged in.

10. Analytics and Tracking with Matomo

We use Matomo Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website and to improve our content and services. Matomo is an open-source analytics platform that places a strong emphasis on data protection and user privacy.

What data is collected

When you visit our website, Matomo may collect the following information:

You can disable Matomo tracking at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences using the Cookie Preferences” button on the bottom of the site. If you withdraw consent, no further analytics data will be collected from your device.
